An Introduction!
/I started this blog without really introducing myself, or Amy Forbes, my friend, photographer, and Super Make It partner-in-crime. My name is Jodi Levine and I am a mom of two boys, wife, lifelong crafter and designer-stylist-editor. For over 19 years, I was a craft editor at Martha Stewart Living and the editorial director of Martha Stewart Kids. I met Amy while working for Martha Stewart where she was a food editor. You can read more about her over here or check out her beautiful blog, Eclectic Mom.
For years I dreamt about making a book of edible crafts. I made lists and lists of ideas and asked Amy to team up and take photos for this future mystery book. We decided to broaden the theme to include edible and non-edible projects made from all types of supermarket materials and our collaboration, Super Make It, was born! We love transforming accessible and common materials like candy, cookies, coffee filters, and paper towel tubes into cake decorations, toys, party decorations and more!
Amy and I got together a few days every week for over three years and shot lots and lots of ideas and were thrilled to get a book deal with our publishers, Potter Craft. Our first book, Candy Aisle Crafts, will be released next month, on August 26th!
This blog will include peeks into our books, supermarket-y craft and party ideas not found in the book, guest posts from some of our favorite crafty friends, and more. We’re just getting it started and would love to hear from you. Thanks!!!
