Make These Easy (Recycled Newspaper) Roses!

Three of my favorite things: reading The New York Times, making things, and paper flowers. So, it was pretty dreamy to make newspaper flowers out of the Times (so, reading it while crafting with it)!! These ran in their At Home section but if you missed it, you can find it here or in their app by searching "Turn the News Into a Rose”. The printable template makes it a super easy project!

This large version (about 8” across) was made using a full sheet of newspaper. After you practice using the template to make some smaller roses, you can hand-draw a spiral template and make them any size!

They make sweet gift toppers in any size! (With newspaper wrapping paper, of course!)

The wreath was made on a paper plate “wreathform”. I cut the inside out of a 6” heavy paper plate and just used the rounded edge!
